Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement and delivery of goods to support office operations and project storage in a transparent manner.
- Ensure three quotations are obtained from different suppliers for bulk purchases.
- Professionally manage the receipt and distribution of goods, including verifying counts, completing paperwork, and ensuring records are accurate.
- Maintain proper documentation for logistics and inventory (e.g., delivery notes, waybills, stock cards).
- Assist with office operations and administrative tasks.
- Oversee vehicle and driver operations, including maintenance, fuel management, and scheduling.
- Supervise the maintenance and servicing of project vehicles and machinery.
- Maintain an updated asset register for project-related Family Health Houses (FHHs).
- Ensure inventory items are tagged and accurately recorded with updated locations.
- Take full responsibility for the project’s inventory management.
- Keep a daily tracking sheet of logistic activities.
- Support the administrative officer in maintaining and overseeing project-related construction and repairs.
- Monitor daily wage laborers’ schedules, time sheets, and payments.
- Ensure timely provision of necessary tools and materials.
- Visit FHHs and health facilities as needed to support project activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Education:
- Diploma in management or accounting with at least five years of relevant experience.
- A degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related fields is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of three years in administrative and logistics roles.
- Experience translating materials between English and Dari is an asset.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to guide staff through change and mentor team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases, and Outlook.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in diverse communities, partner with stakeholders, and manage development projects.
- Team-oriented and adaptable to pressure and challenging conditions.
