Strive to understand and meet monthly and yearly coverage targets and EPI (Expanded Program on Immunization) indicators.
Maintain an updated list of EPI and MCH (Maternal and Child Health) dropouts to follow up with them during outreach sessions.
Store, handle, and manage vaccines in accordance with Afghan N-EPI, UNICEF, and WHO protocols.
Safely dispose of contaminated waste to prevent exposure risks.
Deliver both fixed-site and outreach EPI services.
Consistently ensure proper cold chain management.
Respond promptly to any cold chain issues using available local resources, including transferring vaccines to the nearest health facility with a functioning cold chain system.
Immediately report any cold chain irregularities to the supervisor.
Provide patient education aimed at preventing dropouts and increasing immunization coverage.
Offer health education to clients during fixed-site and outreach sessions.
Identify and report any problems that hinder the delivery of services.
Submit accurate, clear, and timely monthly activity reports.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery, with an EPI certification.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience, particularly in vaccination services.
Strong command of Pashto and Dari languages.
Previous experience working in Roy-e Douab and Khuram Wa Sarbagh Districts, with a solid understanding of the local community, geography, and culture.
