About Us

Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization based in Birmingham, UK. It holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and adheres to the Code of Conduct for International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs involved in disaster relief. For over 23 years, Islamic Relief has been active in Afghanistan, delivering emergency aid and executing transformative development projects for some of the country's most vulnerable populations. The organization established its first office in Afghanistan in 1999 and has since provided support in various areas, including emergency relief, food security, livelihoods, education, health, nutrition, shelter, orphan sponsorship, and Ramadan and Qurbani programs.
