Job Description:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

 

Prepare monthly internal reports of health facilities based on headquarter requirements.

Attend HMIS and M&E related meetings with MOPH and other stakeholders.

Ensure proper monitoring of all projects through budget tracking, random field visits, on-the-ground checks, and monthly meetings.

Provide management support as requested by National Grants and HMIS Manager and CEO.

Participate in AKHS’s Annual Budget documentation and coordination at regional level.

Prepare and finalize the database of Health Management Information System (HMIS) for AKHS-A programs.

Supervise HMIS data collection and ensure accurate data in the monthly and quarterly basis to ensure timely implementation of targets on quarterly and annual basis and prepare action plans based on findings. Oversee data flow from the field to the national level.

With support from the HMIS data assistant, prepare the monthly and quarterly consolidated HMIS report.

Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and supervise and guide the field staff in their HMIS related activities and assignments.

Establish and improve mechanisms for the storage, archiving, and retrieval of information in the planned manner and provide periodic and special reports to the Senior Management Team as per the M&E standards.

Assist in reviewing project and monitoring log frames for project proposals.

Provide technical assistance and support to field staff for HMIS and M&E.

Contribute to M&E plans including log frames, indicators, and budgets, and develop action plans based on findings.

Track projects and monitor progress, including bridge gaps and implement standard MOPH/IMC protocols to ensure data quality.

Prepare analytical reports and monitor progress for projects based on HMIS and M&E data at the national and regional level.

Advise CEO and Managers on the quality of information received and used for reports.

Liaise with national program officers and regional program managers to track activity status against annual work plans for all projects on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure timely implementation.

Track project progress in terms of outputs against targets on a quarterly and annual basis and prepare progress reports and action plans based on findings.

Review project-based monitoring checklists and develop action plans based on findings. Oversee implementation of action plans to bridge gaps.

Contribute to M&E plans, including log frames for project proposals.

Contribute to and review technical reports as required.

Conduct monitoring field visits to ensure the collection of information in the planned manner and provide on-the-job training and technical support to the field staff.

Implement standard MoPH monitoring tools and write monitoring reports.

Give advice and support to the field staff in HMIS related activities and assignments.

Manage the work and training of HMIS and M&E.

Any other task assigned by the line Manager.

 

Job Requirements:

Education: Master’s degree in public health (MPH)

 

 

 

Work Experience: 10 years of experience with health data management and analysis, M&E, and HMIS national database

 

 

 

 

 

Skills: Having excellent Computer Skills and MS Office knowledge, particularly MS Access and Database

 

 

 

Languages: Fluency in English and Local Language

 

 

 

General: Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
