Job Description:

The M&E and Reporting Officer will report directly to MEAL Coordinator technical M&E related issues and Provincial Coordinator administrative and operational issues. He/ She will support the project team by tracking the project’s progress, evaluating outcomes, and ensuring that the project delivers measurable, impactful results. This role will contribute to continuous learning and improvement through systematic data collection, tools development, data analysis, and M&E and operational reporting.

 

 

Duties and responsibilities:

 

The M&E and Reporting Officer will undertake the following responsibilities but not limited to;

 

Develop and implement the M&E tools, M&E plan, M&E framework, including performance indicators and data collection methods, to assess project progress and impact.

Conduct regular field visits to monitor project activities and verify data accuracy, completeness es and quality.

Oversee data collection, ensuring consistency and reliability across all data points.

Provide on job training and support the field staff on data collection, tools development, M&E practices and other processes.

Analyze data to evaluate project performance against objectives and targets.

Generate M&E findings and recommendations to inform project management decisions.

Establish and maintain a data management system to securely store, analyze, and retrieve data.

Ensure data quality, validation processes and adherence to data protection protocols.

Conduct data analysis and prepare visualizations to communicate findings effectively.

Work closely with project and field teams to integrate M&E processes into daily activities.

Develop and facilitate training sessions on M&E tools, and techniques for field staff.

Act as the project focal point in technical sessions and represent the TLO in donor and partner coordination meetings.

 

Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reports summarizing project progress, challenges, and outcomes.

Ensure that reports align with donor requirements, including compliance with formatting and submission guidelines.

Collaborate with project staff to gather success stories, and visuals to enhance report quality.

Support the development of presentations and reports for external stakeholders, including donors and government bodies.

Any other tasks as assigned by line supervisor.

 

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Statistics, Social Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

At least 3-5 years of experience in M&E roles, preferably within education projects.

Strong understanding of M&E methodologies, including both qualitative and quantitative data collection, tools development, visualization and analysis.
