Job Description:
- Verify the identity of presumptive TB patients and review physicians’ orders before performing X-ray procedures.
- Explain X-ray procedures to patients and address their questions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and registrations, especially for those referred from OPDs.
- Ensure high-quality X-rays to minimize the need for repeat procedures.
- Process chest X-ray images using the CAD4TB system.
- Share CAD4TB results with relevant OPDs and referral centers.
- Maintain both digital and physical copies of CAD4TB results.
- Monitor and organize daily X-ray examinations.
- Assist in managing X-ray materials and maintenance in collaboration with other technicians.
- Follow standard radiation safety protocols in the X-ray room.
- Communicate promptly with referral centers to ensure CAD4TB results are received.
- Coordinate with OPD and DOTS rooms for follow-up GeneXpert testing for patients.
- Report any technical issues with the CAD4TB system to the IT and biomedical engineers of the UHI project.
- Ensure X-ray equipment is regularly serviced and in good working condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project or direct supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Certified Medical X-ray Technician
Required Skills:
- Proven experience as an X-ray technician.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools for diagnostic purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, with proficiency in Dari, Pashto, and English preferred.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is an advantage.
