Program Overview: The USAID-funded Urban Health Initiative (UHI) aims to enhance health outcomes for urban populations, with a particular focus on improving the health of women, children, and other vulnerable groups. The program's interventions are designed to boost the demand for, access to, and quality of healthcare services. Led by Jhpiego and carried out by a consortium of organizations, UHI is being implemented in five cities across Afghanistan: Kabul, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif, Jalalabad, and Kandahar.
