Job Description:

  • Identify vulnerable families eligible for assistance based on established selection criteria for project support.
  • Build collaborative relationships with all stakeholders at the district and community levels to ensure smooth project implementation.
  • Actively engage in community mobilization in consultation with the WFHS in-charge and project officer, adhering to HNTPO policy.
  • Assist in the selection and planning of Service Delivery Points (SDPs).
  • Maintain close communication with each SDP representative and Malek to provide space for the outreach team and inform them one day in advance.
  • Notify village/SDP residents about the team’s presence and available services through ground walks.
  • Conduct community awareness sessions regarding health, reproductive health, and psychosocial support (PSS) response and prevention.
  • Communicate key messages on topics such as hygiene, immunization, nutrition, antenatal and post-natal care, assisted delivery, family planning, acute respiratory infections (ARI), diarrhea, malaria, and PSS prevention, or any other relevant subjects.
  • Assist relevant staff with follow-ups regarding reproductive health and PSS survivors.
  • Provide necessary support and information to provincial management staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Deliver situation analyses and progress reports to the project officers as needed, including security updates and any changes in the target community.
  • Coordinate closely with the logistics department for the timely delivery of IEC and other materials.
  • Organize essential orientations for Shura members and beneficiaries about project activities and their roles.
  • Support the outreach team in ensuring the quality implementation of project activities in the field.
  • Maintain a filing system for all beneficiary and project-related documents in both the field and office as required.
  • Identify PSS cases and refer them to the nearest PSCC and WFHS for further assistance and specialized PSS response services.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Midwifery) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in community mobilization with NGOs or INGOs.
  • Strong skills in social work and community mobilization.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with diverse communities and cultural backgrounds, particularly in protection services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate good organizational skills.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates with a strong reputation in the community.
