About Us

HealthNet TPO was founded in 1992 by 'Doctors without Borders' to bridge the gap between emergency aid and long-term development. The organization emerged from the merger of HealthNet International (HNI) and the Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO). HNI specializes in strengthening healthcare systems and the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases, while TPO focuses on providing psychosocial and mental health care to survivors of war and natural disasters. HealthNet TPO Afghanistan is led by a skilled Afghan team, with support from experts at its headquarters in the Netherlands.
