Work Area:
You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with general surgery cases in our hospital.
Purpose and Objective:
Our goal is to provide accurate and timely diagnoses and treatments for patients undergoing general surgery. You will also play a crucial role in training doctors, nurses, and participants in our in-service training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Document the medical history and treatment of general surgery patients, ensuring that all records are accurate and authentic according to established guidelines.
- Carry out necessary pre-operative assessments to ensure patient readiness for surgery.
- Obtain informed consent from patients or their relatives before proceeding with surgical procedures.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in your daily practice.
- Provide attentive post-operative care to ensure patients recover well after surgery.
- Implement existing protocols and standards; if no protocols exist, you'll be responsible for developing them.
- Actively engage in planning and delivering training programs for staff and participants.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge of best practices and stay updated on national guidelines.
Performance Measurement Indicators:
- Maintain a perfect attendance record during working hours, except in emergencies.
- Facilitate at least six training programs or sessions for doctors, nurses, and nursing students over the past year, with documented reports available.
- Ensure patient files are completed thoroughly and accurately, and participate in clinic oversight activities when requested by supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold Afghan citizenship.
- A degree from a recognized faculty of medicine and certification in general surgery.
- Experience performing general surgical procedures independently.
- At least three years of work experience in general surgery.
- A friendly and compassionate personality, with proficiency in both Dari and Pashto.
