The UK's prestigious Chevening Scholarships for the year 2024 are now open to applicants from all national backgrounds. Funded by the British government, this scholarship program supports individuals in pursuing a fully funded master's degree in any UK university, with no restrictions on course selection, across approximately 1500 available options. This generous scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, a monthly allowance, a complimentary round-trip flight, and additional health benefits.
Applicants must possess a strong academic background with a completed undergraduate degree and have substantial work or volunteer experience. Applications are exclusively accepted through the Chevening Online system, where candidates can choose from over 12,000 master's courses offered by over 150 accredited higher education institutions in the UK.
After conducting an extensive evaluation, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has deemed it viable to allow eligible Afghans the opportunity to apply for the Chevening Scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year. Given the significant security risks and financial and logistical challenges currently faced by individuals residing in Afghanistan—factors beyond the control of the UK Government—we are thrilled to extend the application privilege to non-Afghan residents overseas who are keen on furthering their education in the UK through the Chevening Scholarship or Fellowship programs.
