Job Description:
Direct and manage health, nutrition, and WASH project activities, ensuring that all initiatives are effectively implemented according to established guidelines and best practices.
Oversee the establishment and coordination of Integrated Mobile Health & Nutrition Teams (IMHNTs), ensuring that these teams operate efficiently and effectively within target communities.
Promote community health outreach initiatives to enhance access to essential health services, particularly for marginalized and underserved populations.
Facilitate the selection and training of Community Health Workers (CHWs) from local communities, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver quality health and nutrition services.
Develop and implement comprehensive capacity-building projects for CHWs on various topics related to health and nutrition, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for their roles.
Monitor and evaluate project outcomes regularly, utilizing feedback and data to ensure alignment with the health needs and preferences of the community.
Establish efficient referral pathways for advanced care, ensuring that community members can easily transition to health facilities when more specialized support is needed.
Prepare and manage project budgets meticulously, ensuring financial accountability and transparency at all stages of project implementation.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including local authorities, NGOs, and community leaders, to increase project visibility and foster partnerships that enhance service delivery.
Conduct participatory assessments to identify gaps in WASH and health services, ensuring that community voices are heard and addressed in project planning.
Report regularly on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders, maintaining open lines of communication and accountability.
Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration among project staff and community volunteers, promoting a supportive environment that encourages collective problem-solving.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards, as well as donor requirements, throughout all project activities.
Advocate for community health needs with policymakers and stakeholders, using project insights to influence health strategies and resource allocation.
Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in health, nutrition, and WASH sectors to continuously enhance project effectiveness and innovation.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred,
At least 3-5 years of professional working experience in a similar position,
Excellent English, Pashto and Dari (spoken and written) skills,
High-level proficiency in MS Office and Internet applications,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Punctual and hard-working, desire to meet deadlines,
Comprehensive knowledge in reporting.
