Job Description:
The Education Training Specialist will report to the Provincial Coordinator and provide regular updates on training sessions, including logistics and accommodations. This role is integral in equipping employees with the skills and knowledge necessary for success. The responsibilities of the Education Training Specialist are diverse, requiring a combination of strong communication, instructional design, analytical, and organizational skills. Familiarity with various tools and technologies is essential for the effective delivery of training programs.
The Education Training Specialist will undertake the following responsibilities but not limited to;
Leading training sessions, workshops, and seminars both in person and through virtual platforms.
Work closely with admin, finance and logistic departments to ensure proper arrangements of trainings and events.
Design curriculum and training materials tailored to meet the specific needs of the master trainers and education team.
Actively gather and incorporate feedback to continually improve training programs and ensuring that all training programs comply with standard regulations and standards.
Ensure Training approach is relevant and responsive to modern pedagogy based on experiential learning, and set clear, measurable goals for training programs to track their effectiveness
Maintaining accurate records of training participants as well as required documents
Update training curriculum and material according the project need and donor requirement to ensure the contents meet the need of participants.
Providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to employees when necessary.
Document and share case studies, success stories, and lessons learned to inform future project planning and implementation.
Prepare final report of each training session and its required documents as well as preparing overall biweekly and monthly narrative reports.
Contributing to the development of monthly, quarterly and annual reports according the donor reporting framework.
Work closely with MEAL department for updating tracking sheets and updating required tools and databases.
Travel to project sites, including schools and community centers will be required to monitor training and events.
Any other tasks as assigned by line supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Community Development, or another related field.
At least (3-5) years of experience in project implementation, preferably in the education sector and within an NGO or community-based setting.
Priority will be given to local residents.
Proficiency in designing effective training materials and programs, plus, ability to adjust training methods and materials based on varying learning styles and evolving organizational needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven skills to manage multiple training sessions simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with educational structures, community engagement practices, and record-keeping procedures.
Efficient at identifying problems and implementing effective solutions.
Ability to analyze data from needs assessments, training feedback, and performance evaluations.
Proficiency in local languages and English, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organizational skills and attention to details.
