Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision: Oversee and manage all nutrition-related activities at the provincial level.
  • Planning: Develop and implement plans for HER project nutrition activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and target achievements.
  • Coordination: Facilitate collaboration with stakeholders at the provincial and regional levels to ensure smooth project operations.
  • Implementation: Support proper execution of nutrition activities in facilities and address any barriers to implementation.
  • Meetings: Represent the project in provincial and regional meetings related to nutrition.
  • Capacity Building: Organize and participate in training programs for nutrition staff, ensuring orientation on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Stock Management: Oversee stock, supply chain, and monthly consumption reporting for nutrition commodities. Ensure proper supply and usage of medical and non-medical items at nutrition sites.
  • Procurement: Submit timely requests for nutrition supplies to the relevant agencies.
  • Facility Support: Rationalize and support nutrition service delivery across target facilities.
  • Supervision and Monitoring: Conduct regular supportive supervision, monitor findings, and address gaps in project activities. Collaborate with PHD, country office teams, and stakeholders for joint supervision.
  • Data Management: Collect, analyze, and report project activity data regularly, maintaining the national nutrition database and providing feedback on progress.
  • Reporting: Prepare ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and end-of-project reports, sharing them with provincial and country offices.
  • Other Duties: Perform tasks as assigned by senior management or the line manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: MD degree from a recognized medical university.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in public health management, particularly in nutrition.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and local languages.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, internet use, and data entry.
  • Personal Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
