Job Description:
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of all PU-AMI property, whether inside or outside the compound.
- Keep premises secure at all times.
- Refer any unauthorized or unknown visitors to PU-AMI expatriates before allowing entry.
- Conduct regular checks inside and outside the compound, inspecting doors and PU-AMI assets.
- Report any security incidents or unusual occurrences to the designated security officer.
- Allow entry only to authorized personnel.
Specific Duties and Guidelines:
- Follow all office and guesthouse safety and security protocols.
- Be responsible for proper use and maintenance of generators.
- Register all visitors upon arrival (sign-in in the visitor log and PU-AMI ID card verification).
- Verify that any visitor is expected by PU-AMI staff before allowing entry.
- Inspect all incoming vehicles to ensure safe access to the compound.
- Do not permit any unauthorized access.
- Inform your supervisor of any potential security risks that could impact PU-AMI activities.
- Ensure regular cleaning of premises and buildings.
- Be adaptable to work at either the PU-AMI base or guesthouse, on day or night shifts, or in field assignments as required.
- Respect expatriates' privacy, particularly in designated private areas, unless invited.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a guard position with NGOs.
- High school graduate (12th grade) preferred.
- Skills in supervision, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Fluent in Pashto and Dari, with basic English.
- Ability to adapt to different environments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Local resident of the province.
