Job Description:
- Conduct morning meetings with all staff.
- Lead monthly staff meetings, prepare minutes, and ensure action plans are implemented.
- Assist in managing all resources at the health facility, including human resources, equipment, medications, and fees.
- Perform ultrasound examinations on clients.
- Ensure the ultrasound machine is protected from sunlight, electric shocks, and other damage.
- Conduct thorough client examinations and provide necessary medical advice.
- Prescribe medications based on the correct diagnosis and client needs.
- Explain treatment plans to clients and allow time for questions.
- Record necessary client information and ensure all key details are captured.
- Conduct monthly clinical record audits and report to the Health Support and Research Team.
- Ensure all staff comply with infection prevention policies.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols during service provision.
- Participate in training provided by the Health Support and Research Team.
- Lead training sessions if qualified as a clinical trainer.
- Provide on-the-job training and supervision for level 2 providers.
- Keep track of training received and provided in the training logbook.
- Assess the competency of other providers.
- Foster positive relationships with the community.
- Ensure the MEM kit is complete, up-to-date, and emergency-ready.
- Ensure the pharmacy follows the FEFO policy and maintains accurate stock cards.
- Be prepared to manage emergencies and refer clients to higher-level facilities when needed.
- Obtain and complete client consent forms before procedures.
- Ensure proper incident reporting formats are available and understood.
- Maintain a proper referral system when required.
- Provide MSI Family Planning services according to guidelines.
- Offer client-centered counseling based on the REDI framework, WHO wheel chart, and MSI flip chart.
- Follow up on audits, incidents, client feedback, and action plans.
- Encourage quality clinical governance and services.
- Ensure all key clinical staff are immunized against Hepatitis B and maintain an up-to-date register.
- Maintain confidentiality of ultrasound results, including baby gender.
- Perform any additional project-related tasks as required.
Other Responsibilities:
- Manage emergency medical situations according to MSI-A and MoPH standards.
- Monitor MSI-A staff and client arrivals and departures.
- Ensure accurate recording of client information and income.
- Assist in managing the flow of clients through the clinic.
- Provide family planning information and consultations to patients.
- Treat all clients with respect, ensure privacy, and maintain confidentiality.
- Help clients make informed decisions by providing clear information.
- Use simple language and repeat key information during counseling.
- Encourage clients to ask questions and express concerns.
- Keep the clinic team informed of relevant developments.
- Represent the clinic team in internal and external meetings, and tactical planning.
- Ensure infection prevention and aseptic measures are followed in the clinic.
- Coordinate meetings with CBD and mobile clinics.
- Ensure compliance with MSI-A and MoPH standards.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Gynecology and Ultrasound specialist.
- Must have passed the exit exam.
- Understanding of Afghanistan's health system and medical market.
- Strong communication skills in Dari and English.
- Ability to work across teams, both locally and internationally.
Experience:
- 3-5 years, preferably with health-providing NGOs.
- Practical experience in ultrasound.
