Job Description:

Scope of Work:

The CBNP Master Trainer will be responsible for conducting Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions for Community Health Supervisors (CHSs) and refresher courses for Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs). This role includes managing training activities, supporting CHSs/CHWs, supervising CBNP, MMP, and C-WIFS activities, reporting, and coordinating program tasks.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develop training plans in collaboration with the project manager/coordinator, finance team, and other departments to ensure timely resource availability.  

- Conduct Training for the Nutrition Mobilization Team (NMT) at the provincial level using the CBNP manual.  

- Provide refresher training for CHWs at the provincial level based on the CBNP manual.  

- Build the capacity of relevant stakeholders, including the PPHD at the provincial level, on the CBNP manual.  

- Facilitate knowledge sharing between CBNP and other AYSO projects.  

- Conduct regular supportive supervision for CHS/HPs activities and offer technical support.  

- Assist in assessing the implementation of the community nutrition plan.  

- Participate actively in relevant meetings at central and provincial levels.  

- Conduct risk analysis for project implementation and report to the project manager/coordinator.  

- Work closely on the proper closeout of the projects.  

 

Job Requirements:

- A male applicant must hold an MD, Public Health degree, or Nursing qualification with relevant experience; a female applicant should have an MD or Midwifery qualification. Public health-related courses are preferred.  

- Thorough knowledge of nutrition SOPs, especially CBNP guidelines.  

- Experience in teaching, reporting, monitoring, supervision, and coordination.  

- Completion of MIYCN and CBNP TOT training with at least two years of experience in MIYCN/CBNP training with national or international organizations.  

- Familiarity with data reporting, collection, analysis, and interpretation.  

- Fluency in Pashto and Dari, with good English skills.  

- Willingness to travel to remote districts and villages in Kandahar province.  

- Preference for couples or applicants with a mahram (chaperone).  

- MD degree holders meeting the above conditions are highly preferred.
