The Social Mobilizer will play a key role in engaging local communities and ensuring the effective implementation of the project. They will work closely with community members to raise awareness, encourage participation, and foster a sense of ownership of the kitchen initiative. The Social Mobilizer will ensure that the project meets the community's needs and respects cultural sensitivities, while promoting food security, hygiene, and sustainability.
- Community Engagement and Mobilization:
- Organize and facilitate community meetings to introduce the project and gather feedback.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
- Promote inclusive participation, ensuring that marginalized and vulnerable groups are involved.
- Raise awareness about food security, hygiene, and the nutritional benefits of the project.
- Capacity Building and Training:
- Identify the training needs of community members involved in the project.
- Assist in organizing training sessions on kitchen management, food hygiene, and sustainable practices.
- Help beneficiaries develop the skills needed to maintain and sustain project activities.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Conduct regular visits to monitor progress and ensure activities align with the project plan.
- Collect data on community participation, kitchen use, and improvements in food security.
- Provide timely reports to the Project Manager/Field Officer on activity status and challenges faced.
- Coordination and Collaboration:
- Work closely with other project staff to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Facilitate communication between the community and RPOA regarding needs and feedback on the project.
- Conflict Resolution and Problem-Solving:
- Address conflicts or issues within the community related to the project.
- Facilitate discussions to find community-led solutions and ensure long-term project sustainability.
-Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Document lessons learned, success stories, and challenges encountered during implementation.
- Share insights and recommendations to enhance future mobilization and management efforts.
- Academic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Development, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Knowledge of social mobilization, community development, and other relevant areas.
- Professional Experience:
- At least five years of relevant experience in mobilization with national and international NGOs.
- Language:
- Fluency in Pashto and Dari is required.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential.
