Under the supervision of the Project Officer, the Field Officer will manage and oversee the field implementation of project activities related to Cash and Voucher Programming within the Country Program (CP). This role involves coordinating cash and/or input distributions and supervising a field team to ensure high-quality delivery. Additionally, with guidance from Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) staff, the Field Officer will direct field staff during data collection and assist with data entry as needed. Your community relations skills will help ensure local partners and communities benefit from the project while adhering to best practices and striving for continuous improvement.
Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and monitoring project activities in the field to ensure adherence to implementation schedules and quality standards.
- Facilitate communication and information sharing among the project team, local partners, and community beneficiaries to enhance community involvement and support networks.
- Engage with community stakeholders to encourage participation from leaders and representatives in project activities.
- Support capacity-building events for community representatives in collaboration with the project team.
- Compile community-level data to meet project requirements and contribute to report preparation.
- Foster positive relationships with project participants, community leaders, and CRS colleagues.
- Promote professional development through coaching, performance reviews, and necessary training.
- High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience with an INGO, preferably in cash and voucher assistance.
- Computer skills are required.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead a team of 5 Field Agents.
Key Working Relationships:
- Internal: Project Officers, MEAL Officer, Field Agents, CVA Program Manager, heads of offices.
Required Languages:
- Fluent in Dari and English (reading, writing, and speaking), with preferred oral proficiency in Pashto.
Travel:
- Position may be based in Herat or Bamiyan. Must be willing to travel up to 90% to various CRS offices and field sites, including Ghor, Daikundi, Bamiyan, Herat, and Kabul. CRS provides daily allowances for mahrams accompanying female staff on day trips, and per diem and accommodations for overnight work-related trips.
