The Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA) is a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization established in 1968. Since its inception, AFGA has collaborated with the Ministry of Public Health to advance Reproductive Health initiatives. It is a fully accredited member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) and a key partner of UNFPA.
With a dedicated team of over 600 professionals operating across 11 provinces in Afghanistan, AFGA strives to achieve its objectives by delivering health services to vulnerable and hard-to-reach communities through more than 140 service delivery points.
About the Hospital
AFGA is in the process of establishing a 20-bed hospital in Kabul, designed to provide high-quality Reproductive Health services to mothers and newborns. The hospital will be equipped with modern medical technology and staffed by skilled experts to ensure exceptional care.
As part of a long-term development strategy, the hospital’s services will gradually expand, serving as the central hub for AFGA’s outreach programs and small Service Delivery Points (SDPs), where patients requiring specialized care will be referred. The facility will operate in compliance with national and international standards for patient safety and quality, meeting the needs of the communities it serves.
