Job Description:
Community Mobilization and Engagement:
Engage with community members and local leaders to raise awareness about nutrition, health, and WASH issues.
Conduct outreach activities to promote community participation in health, nutrition, and WASH programs.
Organize and facilitate community meetings, focus groups, and awareness sessions.
Program Support and Implementation:
Assist in the implementation of community-based nutrition, health, and WASH programs.
Distribute hygiene kits, health supplies, and other resources to beneficiaries as needed.
Support the implementation of best practices in hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition.
Capacity Building:
Facilitate training sessions for community health workers, volunteers, and other stakeholders on nutrition, health, and WASH practices.
Provide guidance and support to local health workers in promoting key messages about nutrition and hygiene.
Monitoring and Data Collection:
Monitor the progress of community interventions and report on any challenges or successes.
Collect data on program activities, including the participation of community members and the impact of interventions.
Assist in preparing regular progress reports for project management.
Awareness Raising and Advocacy:
Lead awareness campaigns to promote better nutrition, health, and hygiene practices in communities.
Educate community members on the importance of sanitation, nutrition, and health practices in improving overall well-being.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with local health authorities, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of community programs.
Foster positive relationships with beneficiaries, providing feedback and recommendations to improve program outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all community engagement activities, including meetings, training sessions, and field visits.
Ensure proper documentation of program activities, providing regular updates to the project management team.
Job Requirements:
Education: University degree in Medical Doctor (MD), Public Health, Nutrition, WASH, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in community mobilization, health, nutrition, or WASH programs.
Experience in community engagement and outreach in rural or conflict-affected areas is preferred.
Ability to engage with local communities and encourage participation in program activities.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong understanding of community-based health, nutrition, and WASH interventions.
Ability to work effectively in remote and rural settings.
Proven experience in community mobilization, including organizing meetings, training sessions, and awareness campaigns.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data collection tools.
Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages (Dari or Pashto) is highly preferred.

Willingness to travel within Daikundi Province, including to remote or insecure areas.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
