Job Description:

Training and Capacity Building:

Design, develop, and implement training programs focused on community-based nutrition interventions (CBNI) for field staff and community workers.

Deliver training sessions to local communities, ensuring they understand nutrition concepts and intervention strategies.

Organize training workshops to enhance the capacity of community health workers, focusing on cultural appropriateness and local context.

Community Engagement and Support:

Provide hands-on support to community health workers and beneficiaries during the implementation of CBNI projects.

Ensure community members are actively involved in all phases of nutrition and health programs.

Promote behavioral change through awareness-raising activities and community mobilization.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

Assist in the development and application of monitoring tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training and community programs.

Conduct regular follow-up assessments to ensure training content is being implemented and results are visible.

Ensure timely reporting of training outcomes and community feedback to the project management team.

Collaboration with Stakeholders:

Collaborate with local authorities, health professionals, and other community leaders to ensure the training and awareness programs are successful.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in the region, including government officials and community leaders.

Provide feedback to project teams for continuous improvement of project activities.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant attendance, and training materials used.

Prepare and submit detailed reports on training activities and community outreach to the Project Manager and senior leadership.

Job Requirements:

Education: University degree in Medical Doctor (MD), Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field.

Experience: 3-7 years of experience in conducting community-based training or similar roles.

Proven experience in training and capacity-building, preferably related to community nutrition, health, or WASH.

Experience in working with rural or conflict-affected communities in Afghanistan is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge:

 

Strong knowledge of community-based nutrition interventions and health practices.

Experience in adult education and training methodologies.

Familiarity with M&E frameworks and data collection techniques for training evaluations.

Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of local languages (Dari or Pashto) is highly preferred.

Ability to lead and motivate participants during training sessions.

High degree of flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure.

Other Requirements:

 

Willingness to travel within Daikundi Province, including remote or insecure areas.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
