Job Description:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will serve as the main focal person for all monitoring and evaluation related activities for the Food Security and Agriculture (FSAC) project in Faryab. He will report directly to the Project Manager and AADA M&E department director, regarding the M&E process of the mentioned project
Assist in the development of the project M&E plan and its effective and efficient implementation
Monitor project progress through field visit to the project site, offer feedback and keep regular communication with the related field and center level staff
Responsible for establishing the feedback mechanism at the community level and briefing the beneficiaries on feedback channels to provide confidential complaints and feedback
Responsible for collection feedback and analysis, and reporting the results to senior management for actio
Lead conducting at least two post-food distribution monitoring (PDM) to ensure that the food distribution is in line with the proposal and provided to the eligible beneficiaries
Providing regular updates to FSAC regional focal points with the frequency suggested; monthly reports to the FSAC through Report-Hub
Closely cooperate and coordinate with the project technical team and the concerned government departments’ relevant staff for the design, quality, development and completion of all assessments and analytical reports
Develop and maintain an M&E database for the project and ensure the maintenance of a database of the project
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree in any of the management fields or social science
Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in the field of FSAC
Knowledge of M&E requirements, including context monitoring and adaptive learning practices
Strong understanding of M&E frameworks, tools, data collection, and reporting
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Computer skills including the ability to operate Ms office package at a highly proficient level
Excellent communication skills in English (writing and speaking)
Fluency in written and spoken local languages;
Knowledge of local environment
