Job Summary:

 

The Health Project Coordinator/Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing health-related projects within the organization. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired health outcomes. The Coordinator will monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide regular reports to management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, with a Medical Doctor (MD) or Master of Public Health (MPH) qualification, and experience in project management within the health sector.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Project Planning and Execution:

 

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with health project objectives.

Coordinate and oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to established plans and timelines.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, with a focus on healthcare interventions.

Identify and mobilize necessary resources (internal and external) to support project implementation.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.

Conduct regular project meetings, provide updates, and facilitate effective communication among team members.

2. Stakeholder Management:

 

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, government agencies, community organizations, and funding partners.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and expectations, particularly in the health sector.

Facilitate clear and consistent communication and information exchange between stakeholders and project teams.

3. Budget and Resource Management:

 

Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure adherence to allocated funds.

Identify and secure necessary resources, such as medical equipment, supplies, and personnel, to support project activities.

Oversee procurement processes and vendor selection, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and healthcare standards.

4. Evaluation and Reporting:

 

Monitor and evaluate project outcomes to assess the effectiveness of health interventions and initiatives.

Collect, analyze, and interpret project data to prepare detailed reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.

Identify lessons learned and best practices to enhance future project planning and implementation in the health sector.

5. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

 

Ensure all projects comply with applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and quality standards.

Implement quality assurance measures to monitor and improve project performance, particularly in healthcare delivery.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation and records, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

Education:

 

Medical Doctor (MD) or Master of Public Health (MPH) degree is required.

Additional certification in project management is highly desirable.

Experience:

 

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the health sector.

Proven experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating health projects.

Experience working with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations.

Strong understanding of healthcare systems, public health principles, and health project management.
