Job Description:

The marketing officer is responsible to connect and link the all vocational skills training trainees to the markets in district and provincial levels, as well as she will work in close coordination with project manager and VST focal points in all VST centers and is responsible to conduct market analysis and assessment for completed products of trainees and connect and link them to the market accordingly, marketing officer is responsible to assist and guide the VST trainers in designing of products pertaining the customer and market demands, and moreover, marketing officer will be responsible for preparing weekly and monthly progress reports and project impact success stories as well, and ensures that the all VST trainees are well linked to the markets.

Job Requirements:

Having good behavior with community people especially with beneficiaries

Marketing officer will work in direct supervision of project manager and senior management team.

Conduct regular monitoring, visits all vocational training classes and discussing with trainees on available market with for their product.

Marketing officer will work in close coordination with project manager and is responsible to conduct market analysis for completed products of trainees and link them to the market accordingly.

Prepare monthly progress and monitoring reports based on monitoring visits, per the requirements of donors.

Research and collect human interest stories that may further demonstrate project impact and success.

Assist Project Manager in making project outcome and indicators for WFP’s Vocational Training project proposals.

Participating in all meetings and take minutes of the meeting to share with project team.

Coordinate with the Program Manager and Deputy program Director on issues affecting projects including progress occurred.

High attention to detail, effective time management skills, strong work ethic, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to be a self-starter.

Perform any other tasks if required by project manager.

Qualification/ Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistic, Social Science or other relevant fields of studies.

3 to 4 years relevant work experience in the field of marketing and business with NGOs, INGOs or UN agencies.

Computer skills at the operator level, especially with MS Office packages.

Fluency in English and Dari and/or Pashto, both written and spoken.

Having strong report writing skills.

Experience in planning, reporting and budgeting.

Good communication skill and able to pass the massage/questions in local languages to the respondents.

Have good interpersonal skills and ability to plan work.

Supervisory, team worker, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Regional and cultural knowledge of areas of SFL field operations in Afghanistan

Willingness to work long hours when required

Ability and willingness to travel to the project sites and outside of duty station within Afghanistan and adjust to the SFL environment as frequently as required

Honest, proactive, well mannered, and must share values of SFL.

Willing to stay in field locations

Ready to work, live and travel in an intricate and strenuous environment
