The Master Trainer will be responsible for building the capacity of field staff by delivering training-of-trainers and ongoing pedagogical support. This role focuses on training Skills-Based Literacy (SBL) Facilitators and District Community Mobilizers in both literacy instruction and livelihood skills content, and ensuring the quality of teaching through regular follow-up and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Training of Facilitators: Conduct a 10-day pre-service training and a 2-day in-service refresher training for all SBL Facilitators and District Community Mobilizers in the assigned province. This includes planning training sessions, developing/adapting training materials, and delivering interactive workshops to ensure facilitators understand the SBL curriculum and participatory teaching methods.
Continuous Support and Mentorship: Provide ongoing technical support to facilitators throughout the project. This involves regular follow-up visits or meetings to observe classes, coach facilitators on teaching techniques, and address challenges to improve teaching and learning quality.
Curriculum Quality Assurance: Work with the project team to ensure that the integrated literacy and livelihood skills curriculum is effectively taught. Give feedback on the implementation of curriculum content (e.g., in agriculture, manufacturing, services sectors) and suggest adaptations to fit local context or learner needs.
Monitoring and Evaluation Participation: Coordinate with the M&E Officer to assess the effectiveness of the training program. Track facilitator performance and learner outcomes to identify additional training needs. Contribute to evaluating the impact of training through tests or class observations, and document best practices and lessons learned.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare training reports for each training conducted, including attendance, topics covered, and evaluation of participant performance. Document mentoring activities and common issues faced by facilitators. Provide inputs to monthly project reports regarding training progress and the quality of instruction in SBL classes.

Quality Improvement Plan: A brief plan or set of recommendations after the initial training, outlining strategies for ongoing improvement of teaching quality (e.g., additional coaching sessions, peer learning circles for facilitators).
