Job Description:
Responsibilities and Duties:
The major responsibilities of a social worker are to ensure they can provide their patients with the best level of care they are center is also responsible for reporting, supervising social and psychological interventions, individual, group, and family counseling sessions, conducting capacity-building programs for the staff, and attending meetings.
Specific Responsibilities:
Regularly file the patients’ records.
Motivational conversations with the patients in the community and while they are in the center.
Individual and group counseling with the patient during treatment.
Participate in a meeting held before and during treatment for comprehensive evaluation of the patient.
Orient the patient and the family on the admission rules and regulations while the patient is in the center.
Provide patients with complete information about the structure, treatment, and policy of the center.
Provide uniforms, pillow, mattresses, blankets, beds, bedsheets, and other necessary items to new patients and hand them over when they are discharged.
Treatment is for all the patients but the treatment plans are individually structured.
Organize and participate in daily meetings with patients.
Provide patients with information through the selected lecture notes about the harms of drug addiction to religion, health, society, family, economy, etc.
Update the patients’ history register without filling in the medical section of the register.
Listen and record the stories of the patients during the addiction.
Convey awareness sessions to the patients on the harms of narcotics and drug addiction.
Conduct sports and other recreational activities for patients.
Follow-ups on the patient’s health condition and adoption of the patient to the center environment.
Nightshifts in the pharmacy in case of emergency informing the doctor or the nurse to check the patient or other necessaries, record the night shift in the register.
Responsible to capture the different moments through the camera.
Submit daily reports to the supervisor.
Follow-up of the recovery clients.
Knowledge of all forms of narcotics in general and in relation to addicts.
Attending center for night duty and official holy days based on the prepared monthly duty list.
Any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Graduated from the registered university in sociology, education, Sharia, or political sciences faculties.
Minimums 1 year of experience in the relevant field
Know the basics of drug treatment.
Experience working with the communities.
Fluent in both Pashto and Dari
Fluent in English and Computer Skills
Proven ability to produce reports and work plans.
Ability to conduct capacity-building training
Ability to live and travel in a challenging environment
Good Communications skills.
