Job Description:

Data Collection and Reporting

Collect accurate and timely data on children with Early MAM in both community and health facilities (Aka Kala, Algada and Jaji Miadan CHC) and compare the collected data of early MAM-CH with Gurbaz District relevant targeted HFs.

Conduct surveys, assessments, and interviews in coordination with health workers.

Document nutrition and health status data, and report on treatment outcomes.

Compile data and report to supervisors using agreed formats.

Monitoring and Feedback:

Regularly visit health facilities and communities to monitor progress.

Collect feedback on the program and identify challenges.

Report monitoring findings to project management.

Support Early MAM Pilot Phase Implementation:

Provide data to inform the pilot phase’s success and challenges.

Ensure that all data collection aligns with ethical standards.

Capacity Building and Training (Assisting Role):

Support in providing basic data collection training to community volunteers.

Assist with training health workers on Early MAM case identification and data management.

Required Skills:

 

Strong data collection and reporting skills.

Familiarity with mobile data collection platforms (if applicable).

Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information ethically.

Knowledge of local language(s) for effective data collection in the field.

 

Job Requirements:

Educational Background: At least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Nutrition, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Experience:

At least 2–3 years of field experience in data collection or monitoring & evaluation (M&E) in health or nutrition-related projects.

Experience working in remote or rural communities, particularly in Khost province or similar contexts.

Experience using digital tools for data collection (e.g., tablets, mobile apps, or basic data management software).
