Job Description
Objective of the Position:
- Manage health services at the basic and sub-health clinics of the National Society.
- Ensure the delivery of standard and acceptable health services.
- Supervise staff performance under the fixed clinic directorate, including financial and administrative matters, with a special focus on reproductive health and addressing women's health issues.
Responsibilities:
Planning:
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans aligned with the directorate’s general plan to achieve designated objectives.
Patient Care:
- Examine, diagnose, and treat female patients referred from various departments of the Ministry of Public Health, ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
- Provide necessary medical advice and psychological support to patients.
Referral and Guidance:
- Refer patients with severe conditions to specialized health centers or external doctors for advanced care.
- Explain the proper use of medicines recommended by external doctors to ensure effective application.
Emergency Support:
- Provide first aid to address urgent health needs for women.
- Deliver health education to employees, especially for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.
Supervision and Coordination:
- Guide and monitor the implementation of daily tasks by professional and service staff in the clinic.
- Ensure the availability of medicines, medical equipment, and non-medical supplies in the clinic.
Reporting:
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, annual, and on-demand activity reports to the relevant authorities.
Other Duties:
- Participate in training workshops at provincial or external levels.
- Represent ARCS in coordination meetings at the provincial level, if invited.
- Organize regular weekly and monthly meetings with clinic managers.
- Maintain proper records of clinic inventories on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Additional Key Tasks:
- Provide essential health services to beneficiaries at basic and sub-health clinics.
- Ensure regular attendance of professional and service staff in the women’s outpatient department.
- Create a suitable working environment for clinic staff.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the clinic building, equipment, and tools.
- Stay in continuous contact with the regional health officer and provincial ARCS office.
- Propose self-sustainability plans for health centers and program activities, maintaining ARCS principles and values.
- Prepare and implement an annual activity plan with the allocated budget.
Job Requirements:
- Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in General Medicine. Preference will be given to candidates with higher qualifications in the mentioned field.
- Experience:
- At least three years of relevant work experience.
- Passing the Ministry of Public Health's exam is mandatory.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in official languages (Pashto or Dari) and familiarity with English (both written and spoken).
- Computer skills relevant to the job requirements.
