Experience Required:

• Previous experience with the Ministry of Public Health or healthcare organizations in maternal and child health services, nutrition, and growth assessment of children under five years of age.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and related health departments.
• Proficiency in the use of medical diagnostic tools and appropriate recommendations in maternal and child health, general nutrition, and growth assessment for children under five years of age at the basic health center level.
• Competency in performing normal deliveries, managing complications through referrals, and providing nutrition advice.
• Skills in providing timely and proper counseling on family planning, and appropriate child and maternal nutrition to clinic clients.
• Effective reporting skills and the ability to manage inventories in the nutrition section of the clinic.

Scope of Work:

• Provide maternal and child health services, nutrition support, and growth assessments for children under five at the basic health center level.
• Ensure the availability of medicines and medical/non-medical supplies for maternal and child health services and nutrition at the clinic.
• Maintain the clinic, its equipment, and staff in an organized and continuous manner in the nutrition and child growth assessment sections.

Core Responsibilities:

Planning:

• Develop and implement work plans for maternal and child health, nutrition, and growth assessments of children under five at the clinic.
• Organize the workspace in the nutrition and child growth sections to facilitate effective operations and referrals for severe cases.

Daily Operations:

• Ensure proper execution of daily activities in maternal and child health, nutrition, and growth assessment services.

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit regular reports on maternal and child health, nutrition, and child growth assessment activities to the clinic supervisor.
• Conduct individual and group health education sessions for beneficiaries.

Referrals:

• Refer women of childbearing age for TT vaccinations and children suffering from malnutrition to specialized treatment centers.

Other Duties:

• Participate in training workshops at the provincial or external level.
• Cooperate with other health sections in emergencies.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual inventories with other responsible staff.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Midwifery or Nursing.
• Professional skills in midwifery, nursing, preventive care, and public health.
• At least 1 year of experience in the relevant field and public nutrition advisory roles.
• Confidence and commitment to work with ARCS.
• Preference will be given to local candidates.
