Medical Responsibilities in OPD:

- Conduct scheduled OPD surgical consultations for men and children, and female patients when a female doctor is unavailable. Assist with general OPD consultations as well.

- Gather thorough patient histories, perform examinations, and make diagnoses.

- Prescribe treatments following MoPH and WHO guidelines, and provide patients with relevant health education.

- Refer children and women for vaccinations.

- Handle emergency surgical cases.

Medical Responsibilities in IPD:

- Conduct daily rounds for all inpatients.

- Perform surgical procedures according to EPHS guidelines.

- Monitor post-surgical patients in the ward and recovery room.

- Oversee patient dressing changes and direct nurses as needed.

- Support emergency ward activities and direct the nursing staff.

- Gather comprehensive histories and perform examinations for IPD patients.

- Complete IPD documentation and provide instructions to nurses.

- Record daily progress notes for IPD patients.

- Oversee nursing activities, such as monitoring vital signs and dressing care.

- Order blood transfusions if necessary.

- Participate in daily morning reports.

- Perform night shifts and on-call duties as per schedule.

Coordination with HealthNet:

- Adhere to HealthNet protocols and policies.

- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the HMIS department.

- Attend trainings and meetings as required.

Working Conditions:

- Regular hours are Saturday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

- Perform night shifts and on-call duties as scheduled.

- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours in case of emergencies or program needs.

- Compliance with job instructions as outlined in the Employment Contract and AMI Internal Regulations.

Job Requirements:

- Medical graduate with specialization in general surgery from a recognized institution.

- Minimum of 2 years of work experience.

- Knowledge of HMIS.

- Strong teamwork skills.
