Position Overview:

 

The Accountability Supervisor works closely with local communities to inform them about PU-AMI’s activities, encourage their involvement, and manage feedback promptly and efficiently. Reporting to the Accountability Officer, the role involves developing and overseeing PU-AMI's accountability systems in the eastern region, with a focus on improvement and dissemination when required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Implementing Accountability Activities:

  - Oversee PU-AMI’s complaint and feedback system, ensuring effective collection and management of community feedback.

  - Maintain detailed and confidential records of all feedback.

  - Collaborate with the Accountability Officer and relevant departments to follow up on received feedback, ensuring timely analysis and resolution.

  - Address urgent or sensitive feedback immediately, ensuring swift solutions.

  - Engage with community leaders and external partners as needed to help resolve feedback.

  - Compile data and prepare regular activity reports.

  - Suggest new tools to enhance the feedback system.

  - Conduct field investigations and verify information when requested.

 

2. Promoting Feedback Mechanisms:

  - Create information, education, and communication (IEC) materials to publicize PU-AMI's feedback channels.

  - Raise awareness about the feedback system among communities, local authorities, and partners in PU-AMI's project areas.

  - Propose new methods for advertising the feedback mechanisms.

 

3. Communication:

  - Inform communities about their rights to provide feedback and explain how to use PU-AMI’s feedback system.

  - Share feedback handling procedures, policies, and tools with beneficiaries, project staff, and other stakeholders.

  - Maintain ongoing communication with the team and participate in coordination meetings.

Job Requirements:

 

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), Law, Psychology, or a diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation.

- Experience: 2-3 years with NGOs/INGOs in similar roles or within M&E/MEAL.

- Skills:

 - Interest in the humanitarian sector and understanding of humanitarian principles.

 - Strong observational, listening, and analytical skills.

 - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

 - Ability to work in a team and manage stress.

 - Knowledge of data analysis software (Kobo Humanitarian Toolbox) and proficiency in MS Office.

 - Experience in protection or working in the eastern region is beneficial.

- Languages: Fluent in Pashto, Dari, and English.
