Job Description:

 

HMIS Main Responsibilities:

- Operate the HMIS and other relevant databases, ensuring timely updates and analysis of information.

- Provide reliable, accurate, and timely data and reports for planning and decision-making purposes.

- Monitor HMIS activities within the project's coverage areas.

- Offer technical support and participate actively in specific project tasks, such as household surveys, end-of-project evaluations, and CAAC at the provincial level.

- Organize and conduct HMIS training for new hires and field staff as needed.

- Share HMIS-related updates, reporting issues, and field performance feedback with field staff based on field visit findings and report analysis.

- Ensure effective teamwork and coordination with project staff and the provincial HMIS and PHO teams to meet project targets and adhere to updated HMIS guidelines.

 

Logistics Main Responsibilities:

- Ensure the implementation of logistics procedures according to BARAN's logistics policy.

- Prepare logistical contracts.

- Manage and monitor stock movement, supplies, and logistics for projects following BARAN's policies.

- Train and supervise logistics staff on tasks such as stock management, deliveries, registrations, and stock card maintenance.

- Plan the logistics needs of BARAN projects in collaboration with the team and Project Management Team (PMT).

- Evaluate logistics activities for projects and compile monthly reports on food and non-food item consumption.

- Properly file supporting documents for each project purchase and submit them to BARAN management.

- Collect internal order forms daily from the logistics department.

- Follow purchase procedures and prepare purchase orders, obtaining approval from Operations and Finance Directors.

- Deliver purchased goods to the stock, designated department, or clinic, retaining copies of delivery notes.

- Ensure proposed buildings meet high standards.

- Maintain communication equipment, water supply systems, training rooms, and material storage.

- Check security equipment, including extinguishers and alarms.

- Maintain the electricity and vehicles for the MO and PO.

- Assist with project surveys and cost estimates for selected activities.

- Maintain building layout or maps for all health facilities and PO offices.

- Inspect structures upon completion and establish a maintenance schedule.

- Submit material requirements for construction to the purchasing department, track deliveries, and verify shipment accuracy.

- Keep labor records available for inspection.

- Select equipment for construction tasks.

- Submit bi-weekly progress reports to the line manager.

- Maintain a complete inventory of equipment and record maintenance requirements or damages.

- Create and manage guard rosters with logical shifts and rotations.

- Supervise guards, providing feedback and task assignments.

- Ensure guards arrive early and remain alert during shifts.

- Conduct daily briefings with guards and drivers on security updates and tasks.

- Periodically visit guards at warehouses and guesthouses to address security issues.

 

Pharmacy Main Responsibilities:

- The Pharmacy Officer reports to the BARAN Logistics Manager. Key duties include:

 - Establish a well-organized drug supply system at BARAN MO and POs.

 - Review health facilities' drug requests and coordinate with supervisors.

 - Ensure proper cold chain management for stock.

 - Estimate required medicines in line with BPHS 2010 guidelines.

 - Monitor the quality of pharmacy services at MO and POs.

 - Provide RUD and MDS training to relevant staff.

 - Conduct market assessments for pharmaceutical and medical equipment.

 - Coordinate with the procurement committee.

 - Maintain stock movement and consumption databases.

 - Prepare quarterly medicine and medical supply requests for health facilities.

 - Receive essential medicines and supplies from BARAN MO and partners.

 - Store essential medicines appropriately in pharmacy stock.

 - Maintain a computerized database for inventory tracking.

 - Keep accurate records of receipts, transfers, and disbursements.

 - Assist with medical equipment and supply procurement.

 - Coordinate pharmacy activities with partner NGOs and stakeholders.

 

Job Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of relevant experience.

2. Bachelor's degree in a related field.

3. Strong communication skills.

4. Fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari, with excellent verbal and written skills.

5. Mid-level experience in BPHS.
