Job Description:

 

Summary:

The Community Mobilizer is responsible for engaging communities to actively take part in beneficiary selection. This role involves close collaboration with technical staff to establish relationships and encourage community involvement. The Community Mobilizer will work alongside local stakeholders, community leaders, and the project team to ensure the project's successful execution and achievement of its goals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Engage communities and target groups, explaining the project's overall goal and intended impact.

- Ensure community understanding and acceptance of the project.

- Encourage active community participation in all aspects of the project.

- Assist in setting up distribution centers.

- Support the distribution process of hygiene and water kits.

- Prepare detailed reports for each project phase and submit them to the Project Manager.

- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly plans and reports based on project requirements.

- Organize meetings with Community Development Councils (CDC) and village councils to address project-related issues.

- Facilitate project review meetings at the community level.

- Promote transparency and accountability by sharing project updates, challenges, and progress with the community.

- Help beneficiaries use the ACHRO complaint mechanism and hotline to voice concerns about the project.

- Assist with any surveys or assessments conducted in the community.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

 

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in social science, business administration, or a related field.

- At least three years of relevant experience.

- Experience working with internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, or returnees.

- Strong understanding of social dynamics and community structures.

- Prior experience working with rural communities.

- Excellent communication skills.

- Proficiency in local languages (Dari and Pashto).
