Job Description:

The District Project Supervisor is accountable for implementing the project in accordance with donor policies, procedures, and criteria.

  • The supervisors must ensure effective coordination and communication and organize meetings with stakeholders, including district and provincial authorities.
  • They should maintain close coordination with district and provincial authorities for targeting, project activities, and food or cash distributions.
  • The supervisor is also responsible for maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring deadlines are met.

Supervisors must promptly report any critical field issues and challenges to the project manager. In cases of significant issues, they should quickly travel to the field to address them and report back to their line manager. Regular field visits are necessary to monitor project activities and staff performance.

The supervisor is responsible for the capacity building and training of staff members, including SCOPE registrars, surveyors, helpdesk focal points, crowd controllers, and other facilitators. They must ensure that all staff members have organizational IDs and visibility items while in the field.

The supervisor should ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly reports are submitted to the line manager in a timely manner. They are responsible for preparing casual laborers for the timely offloading of food commodities at distribution points (DPs).

Additionally, the supervisor must coordinate monitoring plans for beneficiary selections and food distributions with the donor. They should choose a safe and secure DP that is adequately sized, accessible to beneficiaries, and complies with DP memo #2.

They may also perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Law.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a similar role with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Fluency in spoken Pashto and Dari is required, along with a strong command of written and spoken English.
