Job Description:
The Storekeeper is responsible for maintaining and updating the stock card to reflect all incoming and outgoing items.
- They must ensure proper stacking of food items for easy counting.
- The Storekeeper is also in charge of maintaining stock hygiene and cleanliness, ensuring that non-food items are not stored with food products.
- Underage workers should not be employed for packing and weighing food items.
- They must keep a signed copy of the waybill with the stock.
- The Storekeeper is tasked with preventing the loss or misuse of WFP food.
- At the end of each distribution, the Storekeeper is responsible for conducting a physical count of the stock, securing it, and retaining the keys.
- Daily reconciliation of each commodity is required, and the stock card must be updated and reconciled accurately each day.
- The stock balance must be verified with the Third Party Monitor (TPM) at the conclusion of each distribution.
Job Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Law is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Experience as a Storekeeper with NGOs or INGOs is essential.
- Fluency in spoken Pashto and Dari is required, along with excellent written and spoken English skills.
