Job Description:
The driver reports directly to the country security advisor, and any threats or risks must be reported in writing to the advisor.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Movement SOPs and report any violations by vehicle users.
- Transport iMMAP local or international staff to and from official business locations.
- Monitor the vehicle’s condition and request necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Regularly clean and secure the vehicle when not in use.
- Respond quickly and safely to any road emergencies, repairs, or accidents.
- Communicate with other drivers, staff, and the country security advisor regarding road conditions and safety, as directed by the CSA and Security Assistant.
- Maintain records of trips, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance, and assist with document deliveries for iMMAP.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Country Security Officer.
- Night shift duty is required, and the driver must remain alert during these hours as scheduled by the CSA or supervisor.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
- High school certification.
- At least 5 years of experience with international humanitarian assistance programs, particularly in non-profit or NGO settings.
- Skilled in driving armored vehicles, particularly B6 vehicles.
- Proficient in English, Dari, and Pashto.
