Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop and arrange monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans in alignment with the general plan to implement projects and achieve the strategic goals of the department.

2. Analyze and review stored information regarding technical software issues faced by employees in the Information Technology department.

3. Address technical software issues in a timely manner for various IT-related problems encountered by ministry employees.

4. Provide specifications for IT software and other necessary software required by ministry employees.

5. Assess the needs of different departments to better equip the IT system and facilitate work processes.

6. Organize and provide training programs to enhance the capacity of employees in resolving technical issues and conduct workshops and seminars to optimize the use of IT resources.

7. Properly control and supervise IT systems, ensuring computers and systems function correctly and preventing misuse of IT services and equipment.

8. Utilize IT forms to resolve technical software issues and implement systems to standardize services in the IT department.

9. Provide professional advice and conduct comprehensive reviews of the technological software used by ministry employees.

10. Submit quarterly, annual, and as-needed reports to the relevant authority on achievements.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by competent authorities in accordance with the laws, regulations, and objectives of the relevant department.

 

Education, Experience, and Skills:

This job description is prepared in accordance with Articles 7 and 34 of the Civil Service Employees Law, with the following minimum qualifications and criteria:

1. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or higher degrees in the mentioned fields are preferred.

2. At least two years of relevant experience in the field and in resolving technical IT issues.

3. Proficiency in the official languages (Dari and Pashto) and familiarity with written and spoken English.

4. Computer skills relevant to the position.
