About Us

The Afghan Paramount Welfare and Development Organization (APWDO) is a national, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established in 2008 and formally registered in 2010 with the Afghanistan Ministry of Economy (MoEc) under license number 0000. Operating across 36 provinces, APWDO focuses on humanitarian assistance, emergency response, protection, women empowerment, food and shelter security, health services, education, vocational training, WASH, agricultural development, disaster management, peacebuilding, economic growth, youth development, and environmental sustainability.

 

Rooted in the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and Afghanistan's socio-cultural values, APWDO emphasizes evidence-based interventions informed by consultations with local communities and institutions. The organization collaborates with key international partners, including UNDP, UNICEF,Save the Children, IDLO, UNOPS, UNOCHA, FCDO, DOS, and USAID, relying on international funding to implement impactful initiatives.
