About Us

DAI Global, LLC (DAI) is implementing a new USAID-funded agricultural initiative focused on revitalizing agricultural livelihoods and boosting private sector involvement to address food insecurity, income disparities, empowerment of targeted populations, and communities' resilience to climate change. This initiative collaborates with local actors, including anchor firms, business advisory service (BDAS) providers, educational and financial institutions, and community groups. A core element of this approach is a competitive, performance-based Partnership Facility (PF) that designs interventions incorporating local Afghan expertise, engaging target populations, and utilizing local resources to promote ownership and sustainability. Through performance-based grants, DAI will work with partners to achieve the following three objectives:

 

With a private sector-led, market systems development (MSD) approach, this activity aims to shift behaviors of local system actors, enhancing Afghan agricultural performance and quality of life through these objectives:

 

Objective 1 : Improved Food Security via Inclusive Resilience, Productivity, Diversification, and Stability in Agricultural Value Chains  

Objective 2 : Strengthened Community Resilience to Climate Change, with a focus on Water Stress  

Objective 3 : Enhanced Economic Empowerment of Targeted Populations
