About Us

The Aga Khan Foundation, Afghanistan (AKF (Afg)) is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), an international group of private, non-denominational development agencies focused on enhancing living conditions and opportunities in some of the world's most impoverished regions. The organizations within the Network have distinct mandates, covering areas such as health, education, architecture, rural development, and the promotion of private-sector enterprises. Their goal is to empower communities and individuals, particularly those in disadvantaged situations, to improve their quality of life and access to opportunities.
