Job Description:
The center manager will be based in Nangrahar's Behsud district and will directly report to the Project Manager; the center manager will manage center activities and provide support, resources, and consulting services to the visiting local communities’ women and girls.
Responsibilities:
Work with women and girls in the centers to identify their needs, interests, and priorities, and where possible, adapt activities according to these to ensure activities offered are culturally appropriate and meet their needs
Conduct, prepare, and help plan and organize activities with women and adolescent girls
Adhere to and promote GBV guiding principles
Know and understand the GBV referral pathway
Share with the women and girls care options are available at centers
Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and other sector staff
Ensure supplies/resources for women centers and other program activities are requested promptly and are efficiently utilized
Track participation numbers of women and girls attending centers activities
Manage overall center activities, resources, tools, and spaces
Assist and support the Project officer with training management, information collection, and reporting.
Perform any other duties as required
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience:
A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Education, psychology, Social Science, Business Administration, Public Administration, law and political science and/ or a related field.
A Minimum of 4 years’ experience in humanitarian projects with I/NGOs.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated interest, enthusiasm, and commitment to working with women and girls, their rights, safety, empowerment, and improving their access to resources and services, with a positive attitude and ability to lead and work well in a team.
Demonstrated skills in planning, implementing, monitoring, and coordinating projects and working collaboratively across internal and external teams.
Ability to discuss sensitive issues with respect, empathy, professionalism, knowledge, and experience with community outreach and mobilization, data collection, narrative and statistical reporting.
Superior communication skills (oral & written) in Dari / Pashto / English.
Willing to travel to project sites as required by the program.
Knowledge of community mobilization.
Decision-making skills that are most appropriate to specific situations and immediately.
