Job Description:
Do OPD in the scheduled plan.
Attend Local Health Committee Meeting
Aggregate Health information system report
Attend in the morning report and give feedback.
Follow up vaccinator O/M plan.
Supportive supervision from all parts of the clinic.
Responsible for TB case detection (TB Mobile activity)
Leader for the emergency task force in the relevant area
Check the stock of the pharmacy.
Attend in Clinic Management Team
Participate in training and workshops upon request.
Attend an HF meeting to share the experience between HF directors.
Check the nutritional status of all children <5Y and record them.
Health education for patients coming to a health facility.
Provide counseling for women about family planning, nutrition, personal and hygiene.
Refer the complicated cases to the higher health facilities.
To identify health problems, which may impact an individual’s ability to fulfill their mission before an assignment begins.
To empower individuals and families to manage their health and well-being effectively
To diagnose and treat illnesses arising whilst on assignment or at the end of the assignment
To provide a supportive environment in which a client can express wider psychological, emotional & spiritual concerns
Co-ordinate appropriate follow-up care for patients following an initial medical examination
Order and carry out appropriate tests (this will include taking blood from children and adults)
Make referrals where appropriate
Report clearly to client agencies in a timely fashion respecting the individual patient’s confidentiality.
Provide a full & comprehensive report to the individual following their medical examination addressing specific questions and concerns expressed by them during the examination
Respond to medical queries from client agencies and individual patients by phone or email
Provide back-up and support to the nurse’s team who have primary responsibility for running the Travel Clinic
Liaise with the Psychological Health Team where indicated
Attend clinical meetings in Nairobi, Kenya
Keep up-to-date concerning developments within occupational & travel medicine and other specialties relevant to the medical work at Inter Health
Contribute to the development of health information resources, culturally appropriate clinical services, and related health and well-being events
Participate in clinical governance via audit and significant events
Attend client agency liaison meetings when required.
Job Requirements:
Degree of MD Certified by MoPH.
Pass the Exite Exam
Working experience as a General Practitioner 2 to 4 years in a hospital.
Good Pashto language skills. Computer skills are preferable.
To work in a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
