Job Description:
Position Objective
A highly motivated, mid-level professional with experience in Project Management and an interest in Gender and peace building aspects, The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Activities in three provinces province. He will help manage the team’s internally driven projects and collaborate with donor, stakeholders’ grantors, to build consistent, reliable project tracking and reporting.
This role will have an impact on Project implementation, and overall project activities, He/she will provide structure and process to drive efficiencies in the way in which the grant team executes and tracks work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Managing the project team:
The project manager will be responsible for hiring and managing the project team. This includes recruiting and selecting qualified team members, assigning tasks and responsibilities, and providing feedback and support, Following up on project activities with project officers and team members in the project.
Communicating and coordinating with stakeholders
The project manager will be responsible for communicating and coordinating with all stakeholders, including local stakeholders, community leaders, and government officials. This includes keeping stakeholders informed of the project's progress, resolving any issues that may arise, and building relationships with key stakeholders.
Project Management:
By effectively managing the project team, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring that key activities, milestones, timelines, and resources are in place, the project manager can help ensure the project is successfully implemented.
Actively take part in the evaluation and selection of granting organization
Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Developing project Action Plan, project Profile, risk management plan, and other related documents
ensuring that all key activities, milestones, timelines, and resources are in place for the successful implementation of the project.
Ensuring that key activities, milestones, timelines, and resources are in place;
Understand technical project deliverables and timelines and, working with the project leads, translate them into project management software, which is then continuously updated;
Provide communication and structural support for study teams and manage communications, meetings, and circulating meeting minutes with action items Project team.
Participating in donor meetings in case if requested by donor or program team
Work with the Program Manager in preparing progress reports and other needed grant documents for AWEC.
Responsible for project progress reporting, deliverables, support document, information, picture, video, contract.
Facilitating donor evaluations and other stakeholder visits.
writing of reports, working closely with Program managers, technical staff, other AWEC agencies and Finance Manager.
Any other duties assigned by the Program Manager.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Project Management. MBA is considered as advantage. Having religious knowledge Sharia laws is considered an advantage.
Experience & Skills:
Proven 2-3 years experience of working with CSO support and grant management.
Knowledge of capacity building to CSOs.
Methodical and strategic thinking.
Good communication skills.
Project management skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Budgeting and accounting experience.
Computer literacy.
Knowledge of auditing policies.
Knowledge of donor agencies.
Strong writing skills.
