Job Description:
1. Position Background
The Media Monitoring Team Lead will oversee the comprehensive monitoring of various media platforms, including radio, TV stations, digital media, and newspapers. This position requires a strong understanding of media analytics, effective leadership, and a hands-on approach to managing advanced monitoring tools and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
2. Scope of Work
The Team Leader will be responsible for the following:
Content Analysis
Analyze media content across multiple platforms (radio, TV, digital media, and newspapers) for relevance, trends, and compliance with objectives.
Generate insights based on content monitoring to support organizational goals.
System Management
Oversee the operation and optimization of media monitoring software.
Ensure the integration of automation while handling occasional manual monitoring.
Reporting
Produce detailed reports at daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual intervals.
Deliver actionable recommendations to the Media Director based on monitoring outcomes.
Compliance Checks
Ensure monitored content complies with organizational policies, media regulations, and standards.
Team Leadership
Lead and manage a team of media monitoring staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to timelines.
Provide mentorship, training, and regular performance evaluations to the team.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in media monitoring or related fields.
Proven expertise in media monitoring tools and software (specific software to be named later).
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of content analysis methodologies.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot automated monitoring systems.
Required Skills and Attributes
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Superior written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
