Job Description:

The Project Logistic Assistant is responsible to carry out all Logistic/Procurement related duties and responsibilities with direct supervision of project manager.

Conduct procurement and logistic activities for the project on daily basis according Salam Association’s procurement policies and procedures.

Process and preparation of files and documents using Salam Association’s formats for Logistic, Admin and Finance requirements.

Ensure for timely payment of all payments to which request for payment (RFP) is approved and submitted to finance department for payment.

Being member of purchasing committee member when needed.

Taking advance for purchasing of required goods/services based on approved PRFs when needed.

Conduct daily administrative activities of the project.

Prepare stock book, stock card and inventory list for the project.

Assist in building and equipment maintenance and repairing whenever required.

Assist in coordination of support program activities with program activities of the project related administration and logistics required activities.

Conduct the physical checking of fixed assets on quarterly basis of the project

Maintain the main office stocks record’s and conduct physical checking of stocks at the end of each month.

Perform any other related tasks as directed by supervisor.

 

 

Job Requirement:

 

• Excellent academic qualifications, including a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline

• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in logistics & procurements with humanitarian organizations.

• Previous experience in stock management and logistics procedures.

• Computer literacy for spreadsheet and word processing software.

• Time management skills, especially familiarity with calendar management and goal setting.

• Knowledge of project management processes.

• Ability to think creatively in terms of tool and process development.

• Flexibility and adaptability to ever-changing needs and responsibilities.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Fluency in English required.
