Job Summary
The Social Worker will be responsible for conducting community outreach, providing support to vulnerable women and girls, ensuring the effective delivery of protection services, and leading awareness-raising initiatives within the Women Protection Project.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct awareness-raising sessions on protection issues, such women’s right and PSEA (Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) within target communities.
Facilitate dialogues with community leaders, to address protection concerns and promote positive social change.
Train community members on identifying and responding to situations of risk and vulnerability.
Train other service providers on protection topics.
Identify individuals at risk of protection violations.
Conduct thorough assessments of individual needs and vulnerabilities.
Develop and implement case management plans, including referrals to relevant services (e.g., legal aid, medical care, psycho-social support), and maintain accurate and confidential case records.
Closely coordinate with PSS counselors to ensure integrated and holistic support for beneficiaries.
Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate daily and weekly reports to the Project Manager.
Participate in relevant trainings and workshops to enhance professional skills.
Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Social Science, Psychology, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience working in community development, women's rights, or a related field.
Strong understanding of Protection topics.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong ethical and professional conduct.
Fluency in Dari and Pashto.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
