Job Description:

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee health project implementation in Kandahar and Helmand provinces

Conduct frequent monitoring and supportive supervision visits to project sites in both provinces

Ensure compliance with project plans, budgets, and timelines

Develop and implement monitoring tools and forms

Analyze monitoring data and prepare feedback for project staff

Coordinate with WHO, PHD, and other stakeholders for effective project implementation and reporting

Provide technical support and guidance to provincial teams

Develop and oversee monthly and annual work plans and set M&E indicators for project activities

Facilitate capacity building for provincial teams in Monitoring and Evaluation

Develop training materials, tools, and guidelines

Maintain and update project databases and prepare technical progress reports

Ensure data quality and accuracy in reporting to senior management and stakeholders

Communicate culturally sensitive issues appropriately to trainees and staff

Submit program updates, monthly, quarterly, and final project reports as required

Perform any other tasks assigned by the Program Manager

Job Requirements:

University degree (at least Bachelor's) in a health-related field (MD preferred) or a relevant subject

Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field

Proficient in MS Office applications

Excellent communication and report writing skills in English and one of the national/local languages (Dari or Pashto)

Strong communication, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, and management skills

Willingness to travel frequently to Helmand Province
