Job Description:
ACDO is looking for an IT Officer/Database Developer Intern to provide technical support to the IT department and contribute to database development and management. The selected individual will assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and developing database solutions to support program activities. This internship offers hands-on experience in IT operations, system management, and database development within a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Support and Maintenance
Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for staff in a timely manner.
Help ensure the security and integrity of ACDO’s IT systems.
Database Development
Support the design, development, and management of organizational databases.
Assist in writing and optimizing SQL queries to ensure efficient data retrieval.
Work on creating and maintaining data reporting dashboards.
System Monitoring and Updates
Monitor network and system performance to ensure smooth operations.
Perform updates and routine maintenance on servers, devices, and systems.
Assist in backing up and recovering data as needed.
Training and Documentation
Provide basic IT training to staff to improve their proficiency with IT tools and systems.
Help create and maintain IT-related user manuals and technical documentation.
Innovation and Development
Contribute to the improvement of existing systems and processes.
Assist in researching and recommending new technologies for enhanced efficiency.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Fresh graduates)
Basic knowledge of programming languages like Python, SQL, or Java.
Familiarity with database development tools (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Access).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT troubleshooting.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Dari, and Pashto.
Prior coursework or experience in database management and IT systems is a plus.
