Job Requirements
Core Responsibilities:
- Calibration and maintenance of petroleum laboratory equipment, monitoring equipment performance, and recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Calibration and preservation of laboratory devices and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
- Providing technical advice to improve the quality of petroleum products and reduce pollution.
- Developing and implementing Quality Control (QC) programs.
- Participating in administrative meetings of the General Directorate of Quality Control to discuss activities, work challenges, and receive necessary guidance.
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with provincial departments to develop annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans.
- Preparing and organizing monthly, quarterly, and annual work plans in accordance with the general plan of the relevant directorate to achieve set objectives.
- Transferring professional skills through workshops, seminars, and training, while guiding laboratory staff for accurate testing.
- Carrying out additional tasks assigned by the supervisor in line with ministry rules, regulations, and objectives.
Coordination Responsibilities:
- Ensuring communication and coordination between this department and other related sectors of the General Directorate of Quality Control to improve organizational processes.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a citizen of Afghanistan.
- Age must be between 18 and 64 years.
Educational Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology, Petroleum and Gas, Chemistry, or Petroleum Engineering; preference will be given to candidates with a master’s degree.
Work Experience:
- At least five years of experience in the calibration and maintenance of petroleum laboratory equipment.
Required Skills:
- Certification in IOS/IES 17025 or equivalent.
- Proficiency in calibration and maintenance of petroleum laboratory equipment.
- Fluency in the national languages (Pashto and Dari) and English.
- Computer skills relevant to the job.
